A handwheel is a convenient solution for manually operating a jack when using machine screw jacks in intermittent positioning applications. We offer hand wheels in a variety of diameters. Their specific selection is dependent on input torque requirements.
- Cast iron is standard, stainless steel and bake lite material is available.
- Handwheels do not include a brake and therefore are not for use with ball screw jacks. They are recommended for self-locking jacks and actuators and can be mounted directly to the jack input shaft.

Flange blocks are important components to operate with nut traveling type screw jacks. The Flange blocks lock on to the end of the rotating screw, and can then be bolted on to the machine or fixture. This ensures that the load being carried by the screw jack’ lifting nut is properly guided.

Pillow blocks are important components in screw jack systems. Many applications require longer lift shafts, or jacks that are connected together with a common shaft that is a significant distance apart. That’s where pillow block is used as an additional shaft support.

Our connecting shaft matches perfectly with jacks and couplings to meet a wide range of system requirements. Connecting shaft is made from #45 steel plating chrome , with ends machined to standard keyways.
